MORNING KEYNOTE: Shakeup and Speedup
Starting new teams and scaling up innovation is more important than ever. The key to success is applying different practices in different stages of the innovation lifecycle. What works for a new business does not work for a mature one, and vice versa. In this talk, we will nosedive into the major good practices for business leaders and product teams, from the moment they have an innovative idea to the day they will scale it up (or screw it up). Everything depends on the lifecycle stage of the new product or service.

Leadership in an Agile World
The way teams work is evolving and so is the role of the leader. Agile teams don't want or need someone delegating tasks and micromanaging how the work gets done. Instead, to perform at their best, agile teams need someone who can evolve and adapt. Someone who will trust, support, and enable them. They need a true agile leader!
A transformation from manager to agile leader takes work, and not every manager you encounter is excited for their role to change. So, how do you get them on board? How do you coach them through this critical change to ensure the success of their teams?
In this interactive session, we will:
  • Examine the key differences between a traditional manager and an agile leader
  • Share the story of our approach to coaching managers challenged with this transformation
  • Practice hands-on tools and techniques you can use to create and strengthen agile leaders within your organization

Everything is NOT a Must Have Priority Workshop
Prioritization continues to be one of the biggest challenges in Agile Transformations. Choosing the right set of features often marks the difference between short-term failure or long-term success. So how do you make sure your stakeholders are making the right choices?
1.    Do you have multiple stakeholders with competing priorities?
2.    Do your stakeholders constantly change priorities without explanation?
3.    Do your stakeholders tell you that everything is a"Must Have"?
4.    Do your stakeholders think that that their work is far more important than the other groups you work     with?
5.    Does your stakeholder prioritize their work in a vacuum?
6.    Do their priorities align back to the overall vision?

Financing Agile Delivery With Forecasts
Questions surrounding budget and timelines are always a touchy subject when teams start using agile delivery methods. With little else to go on, many still resort to a fixed budget, fixed date, and scope approaches while using a Gantt chart. New product development is complex. So are the stock market and weather systems. By using similar tools stock analysts and weather professionals use I show how the completion date of an effort and the costs to achieve can be forecasted with a high degree of statistical certainty.
